Your role as Digital & Multimedia Communications Specialist

To strengthen the engagement of relevant stakeholders, customers and other audiences we are looking for a Digital & Multimedia Communications Specialist to help increase GRT’s visibility, impact and reach. Key responsibilities of this new role include:

  • Leading/supporting the implementation and day-to-day execution of an engaging digital and social media strategy for the company, its business units and key projects
  • Acting as internal expert for social media, web/digital and multimedia productions, creating growth in engagement with key target groups
  • Helping to create efficient processes, appropriate structures and suitable tools to meet the company’s stakeholder engagement goals
  • Channel analysis, management and monitoring
  • Website management and supporting the Global Rail Group’s web relaunch and continuous improvements
  • Co-ordinating the relaunch and innovation of www.trackopedia.com
  • Social community activation and regular engagement
  • Independent content planning, production and management for corporate channels, online and traditional
  • Drafting of posts and articles to create impactful content
  • Photo and video editing
  • Creation of innovative multimedia tactics and products including video, animations, podcasts, social posts, e-surveys, e-learning, e-newsletter, gaming and other tools
  • Supporting the Global Rail Group's internal and external communication campaigns and alignment across all channels
  • Developing, launching and maintaining customer-oriented digital marketing campaigns in support of overall marketing priorities
  • Online survey management, user evaluation and analysis
  • Search engine and content optimization to learn from campaigns and strengthen our social/digital presence with target audiences

Your profile

  • Degree in digital media management, web/multimedia design, digital marketing or comparable education
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, web/multimedia design, digital marketing or comparable, ideally in an international B2B environment; or proven track-record in managing a related start-up or business in this field
  • Track record in content creation and formatting (Canva, MailChimp, photo/video editing, etc)
  • Motivated self-starter with strong action-orientation, hands-on attitude used to taking initiative and working independently
  • Ability to ‘translate’ complex technical content to comprehensible, simplified, clear content that engages audiences
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English as well as German; additional languages a plus
